Javier Jileta
Economist, urban planner and researcher. Founder of Scientika.

Background
Javier Jileta has a degree in Economics from ITAM and a Master's in Urban Planning and Development, as well as doctoral studies in Urban Economics and Country Brands at University College London.
He served as General Director and Head of the COVID-19 International Coordination Taskforce at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, under mandate from Foreign Secretary Marcelo Ebrard, coordinating Mexico's international outreach in support of the health authorities.
Jileta has concentrated on developing and promoting innovation and knowledge projects. In 2008 he founded Scientika, a nonprofit focused on fostering talent to drive effective change through innovation and creativity.
During his tenure at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he codified Mexico's Multilateral and Bilateral Foreign Policy for the first time in the country's history. As Managing Partner of Scientika, he coordinated works such as «Mexico City: a Knowledge Economy» and «Protejamos nuestro aeropuerto».
